Wells Fargo Launches ExpressSend Mobile for International Money Transfers

The new feature in the Wells Fargo Mobile app enables customers to securely send money to family and friends across 12 countries, track transfers and manage recipients from one place.

Wells Fargo announced the nationwide launch of ExpressSend® Mobile, bringing its international money transfer service into the Wells Fargo Mobile® app.  The new remittance experience gives customers a convenient and secure way to send money to family and friends in 12 countries while managing their banking and international transfers in one place.

The launch of ExpressSend Mobile expands Wells Fargo’s digital capabilities to meet the needs of customers who are increasingly managing their finances on-the-go from their mobile devices.

“Many of our customers regularly support family and loved ones abroad,” said Daniela Mounger, ExpressSend product manager. “ExpressSend Mobile now makes it easier to stay connected and send money securely and conveniently when it matters most — right from the Wells Fargo Mobile app.”

Wells Fargo is the only major U.S. bank offering a dedicated mobile remittance service.

With ExpressSend Mobile, customers can:

  • Send money to family and friends in 12 countries.
  • Send funds to a bank account or cash pickup location in these countries.
  • Track transfers in real time and receive alerts.
  • Add and edit recipients directly in the mobile app.
  • Receive a transfer fee waiver on their first ExpressSend transaction.
  • View applicable exchange rates and transfer fees before sending money.

Supporting families across borders

ExpressSend is available for transfers from the U.S. to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, India, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
