Bolta Corporation, a South Korean financial technology API provider, is reshaping the B2B fintech landscape in South Korea by providing API infrastructure that helps global enterprises manage South Korean electronic invoicing directly from their existing internal software. Beyond e-invoicing, Bolta delivers comprehensive Korean business data and verification APIs to streamline Know Your Business (KYB) compliance.

Bolta is building the "Plaid of Korea"—bridging global enterprise software with South Korea's complex tax, financial, and corporate data architecture.

To operate a business in South Korea, companies are required to issue electronic tax invoices for all taxable transactions and transmit them directly to the National Tax Service (NTS). Global enterprises operating in or expanding into the country must comply with this mandate while syncing transactions with their centralized ERP and financial ecosystems—a process that historically required technical integration, verification processes, and data management.

Bolta, an officially certified e-invoicing system provider registered with South Korea's tax authority, resolves these pain points through seamless API integration, enabling companies to issue and manage e-invoices directly within their native corporate workflows. Bolta’s API natively connects with leading global ERP suites, including SAP and Oracle, as well as other core business systems. Through this unified connection, companies can issue e-invoices and monitor processing status in real time. Furthermore, organizations operating multiple local entities can securely segment data and manage separate issuing permissions.

Global logistics leader Flexport leverages Bolta’s API to bridge its proprietary logistics systems with Korea’s rigid e-invoicing framework. Bolta supports Flexport’s localized operations by providing end-to-end English support, dedicated technical guidance during deployment, and seamless domestic e-invoice issuance.

In addition to compliance infrastructure, Bolta’s suite of verification APIs allows multinational corporations to instantly verify a counterparty’s corporate registration status and tax classification within their automated accounting cycles. By expanding its pipeline to include core financial data and corporate document APIs, Bolta is building the "Plaid of Korea"—bridging global enterprise software with South Korea's complex tax, financial, and corporate data architecture.

To accelerate onboarding, global development teams can access Bolta’s public English developer portal, which features integration examples, a compliant OpenAPI specification, and LLM-friendly documentation optimized for AI coding tools. Developers can utilize test keys and a free sandbox environment to validate their code before deploying to production. Ongoing English technical assistance is available through collaboration tools such as Slack Connect and Microsoft Teams.
