New eight-week online course bridges the gap between AI theory and financial application—empowering professionals with practical tools to stay ahead in a tech-driven economy

Wall Street Prep, Inc., the global leader in financial training, and Columbia Business School Executive Education announced today a collaboration to create professional certificate programs at the intersection of finance and technology, starting with the launch of the AI for Business & Finance Certificate Program.

"Our collaboration with Wall Street Prep unites Columbia Business School's world-renowned faculty thought leadership with the industry's most applied finance training," said Mark Roberts, Senior Associate Dean of Columbia Business School Executive Education. "With AI transforming the finance sector, this program delivers the intellectual rigor and practical insights that executives need, not only to grasp its implications but to apply cutting-edge strategies in data analysis, risk management, and investment decision-making - ensuring they excel in their roles and help drive their organizations forward by leveraging technological innovation."

The AI for Business & Finance Certificate Program leverages Wall Street Prep's track record of training the world's leading investment banks, private equity firms, and asset managers, combined with Columbia Business School's world-renowned faculty and research in finance, AI, and machine learning. The collaboration brings together both academic thought leaders and the finance industry's most recognizable AI innovators to deliver AI literacy grounded in how technology can be leveraged in practice.

"AI is no longer just a theoretical concept — it's transforming how investment decisions are made, how markets are analyzed, how products operate, and how firms gain an edge," said Daniel Guetta, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Professional Practice at Columbia Business School. "As AI adoption accelerates, there's a critical need for professionals to understand how these technologies work and how to apply them effectively. This program bridges that gap by combining theory with hands-on applications."

Now enrolling for the upcoming cohort, the AI for Business & Finance Certificate Program is an eight-week online program that demystifies AI and machine learning for finance professionals. Through case studies, interactive exercises, and real-world applications, learners will explore how AI is used in data analysis, investment decision-making, portfolio management, algorithmic trading, credit risk assessment, and a variety of other use cases.

Each cohort will engage in self-paced video modules, live office hours from Columbia Business School Executive Education and Wall Street Prep faculty, and optional in-person networking. Upon completion, participants receive a digital certificate from Columbia Business School Executive Education and Wall Street Prep.

"Demand for AI literacy is growing faster than the supply of talent who sufficiently understand how to leverage AI tools to improve productivity in their roles. This program bridges that gap," said Matan Feldman, Founder and CEO of Wall Street Prep. "Until now, AI education has often been too abstract or too technical for finance professionals. By joining forces with Columbia Business School Executive Education, we're delivering a program that teaches AI through the lens of practical, real-world financial applications — giving participants skills they can put to use immediately."

The AI for Business & Finance Certificate Program is the first in a series of specialized finance-tech programs jointly developed by Columbia Business School Executive Education and Wall Street Prep.

"Our goal is to provide professionals with cutting-edge knowledge without requiring a career break," said Feldman. "This collaboration ensures that finance leaders are equipped with the AI skills necessary to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape."
