MVB Bank, Inc., a subsidiary of MVB Financial Corp., has selected Bretton AI to deliver AI-native Managed Services for their back-office operations. A dedicated U.S.-based Bretton team will deliver outcomes, utilizing the Bretton AI platform, in the form of Anti-Money Laundering transaction monitoring and Know Your Customer (KYC) completed alerts and cases inline with MVB's policies and risk framework.

Why MVB selected Bretton

MVB has spent two decades building a national business serving fintech, payments, and other high-growth sectors from its community banking base. As MVB sees strong business expansion with partner banks, the work required to monitor activity and conduct due diligence is expected to grow in lockstep. MVB selected Bretton to expand capacity and consistency without increasing back-office headcount at the same rate as the business.

"MVB built a national fintech business on top of a community bank, and that growth brings increasingly complex compliance demands," said Julie O'Connor, Chief Compliance Officer at MVB Bank. "Bretton AI gives us a way to scale monitoring and due-diligence capacity while keeping MVB in control of the program, its decisions and its filings. That allows our team to focus on the highest-risk work, support responsible growth, and advance our broader AI strategy."

Under the agreement, Bretton AI's US-based analysts use the Bretton AI Platform to review alerts and complete enhanced due diligence work, with a trained analyst reviewing every AI-assisted output before it reaches MVB. This human-in-the-loop model lets MVB receive higher-quality, more consistent reviews at lower cost than a traditional headcount-based build-out, while giving the program room to scale as volume grows. Bretton's outcome-based pricing reinforces this: fees tie to completed work, not analyst hours, so MVB adds capacity without adding headcount-driven costs.
