73 Strings, the AI-powered valuation and portfolio intelligence platform for alternative asset managers, has acquired Callisto, a Paris-based fintech company whose AI & data technology automates complex private markets workflows, from due diligence and data room analysis to the preparation of investment documentation and due diligence questionnaire automation.
The platform leverages proprietary agentic data pipelines, including custom embedding models trained for financial documents, agentic orchestration, a financial AI harness enabling agents to work with complex Excel files, data rooms, DDQs and large proprietary internal databases. By providing a structured environment in which AI agents can operate, Callisto enables GPs to scale and accelerate their processes.
“Our ambition is simple: to be the infrastructure private capital runs on. That means AI at the core of the platform, and the people who can build it — shipping new features fast, and at the enterprise-grade standard our industry operates at,” said Yann Magnan, co-founder and CEO of 73 Strings. “Callisto is the latest expression of that ambition. Charles and William have built one of the strongest private-capital-focused AI teams in Europe, and they now lead AI Product for the deepest data and workflow asset in private markets.”
The Callisto team will accelerate the evolution of 73 Strings’ Valuation, Extraction and Monitoring platforms into agent-addressable platforms, built around the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so AI agents can access data and execute workflows and directly bring automation safely into the valuation process, with traceable calculations, a deterministic core valuation engine and with human judgement remaining central to valuation decisions.
To deliver this, the team will lead AI product, starting with building simulation into 73 Intelligence, AI applied to the workflow-heavy processes of private markets, allowing clients to model how portfolios, valuations, and fund-level outcomes behave under changing macro and market assumptions and get an auditable answer in minutes rather than weeks. As private markets mature, portfolio analysis must move beyond reporting what has already happened to modelling what could come next. Callisto's core AI infrastructure will be integrated into 73 Intelligence in the coming months.
Callisto's team of AI engineers joins the 73 Strings product organization, with founders Charles Farhat and William Profit appointed Co-Heads of AI Product, reporting to Chief Product Officer Matt Storey. Profit previously worked for Bloomberg, scaling FX with distributed systems to manage trillions of dollars of transaction volume and at Motive Partners in private credit technology, having studied computer science and AI at Imperial College London. Farhat’s background is in applied mathematics and nuclear engineering at ENSTA Paris and Ecole Polytechnique, with prior deep tech and AI experience in building next generation-robotics for defense applications.
“We founded Callisto on a simple conviction: asset managers can only unlock the full value of AI once their data lives in a structured, single source of truth. That digital layer is what makes AI-native products and agents possible, and it's what will allow asset managers to scale as private markets open up to retail investors,” said William Profit and Charles Farhat, Co-Founders of Callisto. “Joining 73 Strings gives us the opportunity to combine that technology with deep private markets expertise and global scale, accelerating our shared vision for how AI can transform investment workflows for private markets firms of all sizes and strategies.”
